Is Global Warming really happening? If so what is causing it???What effect do you think global warming is having on our weather…in Wisconsin and the world?

Mrs. Steiner:
I think that scientists need to look at global warming, weather cycles the earth has gone through in the past, and geothermal issues.

what i have learned about global warming is that some people think it is a natural thing and others think it is caused by us, using all of the pollutents. Global warming is an average increase of temperture, a prediction that was made is that the sea level would increase with the temperture. Along with global increased rain. I think that with all the information i found that we are some of the cause but some of it is natural.

I believe global warming is a serious cause and we should try to cut down on human activities that are causing this soon to be disaster. The 1990’s was the warmest decade since the civil war. I think that we should try to do evrything that we can to stop global warming before it gets to a point where we are unable to do anything to stop global warming.

I Believe, that global warming is very severe it was the warmest decade of the 1900’s. It is very bad and maybe in 50 years it can cause global chaos.

I think global warming is caused by both natural and human ways. I believe we should keep track of global warming also. One thing I learned from the website NOAA was that the sea level is rising at an average of 1 to 2 mm a year over the past 100 years. Also I learned from NOAA, since 1750 carbon dioxide has been rising. Those two facts amazed me.

I think global warming is a very dangerous natural event that is fueled by our countless mistakes. I also beleive it is happening through natural processes . I wish each country will stop and see the devastation to this problem before it is to late….. I learned from several different sites that global warming can cause sea levels to rise and the amount of precipitation can increase. Carbon Dioxide is the main gas that causes global warming. Some other gases that contribute the global warming is methane, nitrus dioxide and CFCS.This year the El Nino has been very strong has been contributing to higher temperatures in the United States. Overall, global warming is a problem and it needs to be solved now….

I think that global warming is just a cycle that the earth is going through.
Some things that I’ve learned are that scientists think that by the year 2100 the temperature will rise from 2.5 to 10.4 degrees, and climatoligists are people who study climate.

Dan,
some people think that globle warming is natural but most think that we are causing it. the odd thing is that some people think that Alians and Vikings are causeing globle warming why they think that i don’t know
in the 1990’s the temperature rised higher than ever before the civil war if what ever is causing it isn’t stopped animals will die the polar ice caps will melt and the ocean will flood and part of the US will be under water.

I believe that global warming is caused by humans and that it’s natural too. I think that one cause of global warming is pollution and since we control pollution we have caused it. Scientist are working so hard to figure out why global warming exists. Some say it’s El Niño- the warming of ocean surface off western coast of South America- no one knows for sure though. Global Warming is a serious problem, I can’t wait to know what causes global warming so we can figure out what to do about it.

I believe Global Warming is caused by many different things, and that humans play a big role in the causes of Global Warming. I think that we also play a part in the release of greenhouse gases. We contribute to greenhouse gases by driving, using electricity, growing food, raising livestock, and simply throwing away garbage. Carbon Dioxide is the main gas that scientists think is causing Global Warming. The level of carbon dioxide has been raising each year. Global Warming is not just taking place in America. All around the world Global Warming is taking place. Even though we do not know all the causes for Global Warming we can still try to put and end to it, just by doing simple everyday things differently.

I cannot really tell how global warming has effected the are that i live in, considering i live in Wisconsin and the weather fluctuates a lot. But my personal opinion on global warming is that I don’t think its happening because global warming is unnatural warming of the earth and so far its been alot colder in parts of the United States, and there has been alot more snow lately also. If global warming really is happening though, i would say that we are major contributors to it. Considering all of the emissions that our cars cause and the CFC’s that we put in the air with our spray cans, and also nuclear wastes and other things. I think that scientists need to get there facts straight because alot of it is i think based on more of opinion than fact.

I believe Global Warming is real, and that it is caused by several different things. I think El Niño, pollution, holes in the Ozone layer, greenhouse gases, chlorofluorocarbons, carbon dioxide, smog, and human influence all play a role in global warming. I honestly believe that it is a natural process that was only sped up by human influence, and was going to happen eventually anyways. In my research I discovered the 8 aspects of climate change: solar input, the atmosphere, the oceans, the water cycle, clouds, ice and snow, land surfaces, and finally, human influence. We cannot possibly be completely responsible for global warming, we can only slightly effect the process. I think the Earth is our responsibility, and that we should take care of it to the best of our ability. If we can prevent or slow down global warming, we’d be doing our job.

I believe that global warming is caused both by humans and natural occurances. Although globally the temperature is up only 1 degree Fahrenheit over the past century, it could rise 3-10 degrees by the end of the century. As the temperature rises, disease-carrying rodents and mosquitoes will spread and infect. The addition of greenhouse gases and aerosols has changed the composition of the atmosphere. Rising ocean levels could cause major devestation. Some people think it is because of El Nino, and one man even thought aliens were causing global warming. We’ll have to wait for scientists to find out what is causing global warming and find out a way to stop it.

I think that global warming does not exist. I don’t think it exist because if it really existed and we were causing it and we were in danger of becoming extinct then scientist would be all up in our faces about it and we would be doing something about. Plus there is actually no evidence that global warming exist there is only theories. And then you have people who are crazy enough to think that global warming does exist and that it is caused by aliens and the vikings.

I read that humans have some effect on our ozone layer. The ozone layer keeps energy in the form of heat trapped inside our atmosphere. It also keeps some heat out. When we pollute the atmosphere, we are eating away at the ozone layer. The layer is especially thin over the north and south poles. This is bad because the ice caps will melt, making the oceans higher. This could cause mass flooding. I think we should try to be safer when it comes to our atmosphere.

Global warming has filled the news lately and sparked many different ideas. Some people say it is a natural phenomenon, others blame it on people and our green house gas emissions, and some even say that aliens are causing it. I believe its a mixture of both natural and human caused. Scientists have proved that our ozone layer nows consists of holes from harmful CFC’s destroying it which very well could change our climate making it warmer, causing the ice caps to melt, oceans to rise, and preciptation be more. Statistics show that with our increased emission of greenhouse gases tempertures have rised. Coinsidence? I think not.

I believe that global warming is happening and that it is caused by both humans and natural causes. Pollution does have a part in global warming and we are causing pollution. We need to cut back on our polluting. Also global warming is happening cause of natural causes. For example it is said that cows have a part in global warming by the methane (the 2nd most significant cause of greenhouse warming) that they are exhaling. Another natural cause to global warming is belived to be El Nino. From our burning of coal, gas, and other fuels causing pollution to the exhaling of methane by cows. With all of this imformation I do believe that global warming is happening now.

I have learned that global warming is not caused by El Nino. I think that global warming is caused by human activities and the greenhouse affect. The sea level has been rising at an average of 1-2mm per year the past 100 years.Glaciers are shriking and there are earlier break-ups of ice on rivers and lakes.Carbon Dioxide:NOAA states that cocentrations in atmosphere is a 35% increase and almost all of it is due to human activities.Today there’re an increase of infections and diseases. The animals may be left trapped in present habbitats.I have learned that the seasons may change-winters may be shorter and milder and snows melting earlier in spring;summers become longer and warmer. The reasons why I think human activites is a result is because humans have been burning fossil fuels. They use energy to run vehicles, heat homes, and power factories.-It thickens the greenhouse blanket.
